Are you wondering  "Who is the person  behind the images on this website?" Who created them? Would I like him to photograph me and my family?

 

Here's the story of my journey as a person and a photographer.

 

I’m  passionate  for photographing places, (especially of  Edmonton and Alberta. My photos of people  families, and special events is shown in the galleries which follow. Special occasions in families, and places in our city, and province are part of a picture record which will become more valuable over time.

 

A working career in social work in government, family medicine, home care and  private practice counselling led me to seek an understanding of  people through reflection and inquiry. I try to determine as I meet clients what would be the best ways to capture them at those moments and times in their lives.. The story in a good photograph will be interesting.

 

Greater efforts to improve my photography began about 20 years ago when I  purchased a full frame Nikon camera.  I learned and understood better how to make captivating images through studying more than 50 on-line programs about creating better photos . I continue to study regularly, about photo composition and processing images to bring out the best parts of  photos. In retirement I have time to observe  and photograph what is happening in our city and province and believe my images tell interesting stories.

My passion for photography grew over decades as I created a record of our family. With better equipment, new software and  photographic techniques, my  excitement for photography has grown. Better and better images become possible as technology and software advance.

 

My photography includes images from Edmonton and  Alberta Canada. It  shows how I like to capture special times with people and families.

 

The galleries on this site reflect my desire to make a  good photographic record for the people I live and work with. Any season, warm or cold, can provide good opportunities to photograph the city and people who live there.
